Put yourself in their shoes, and ask yourself, what kind of content would my audience actively search for on a daily basis?

Get to know how they behave online, do they comment a lot? Do they share posts they find interesting? What platforms are they most active in and how much time do they spend on them?

Asking these relevant questions to get to know your audience helps you develop a clearer picture of the direction you are going to take your content in order to connect and relate to them most effectively.

2. Develop A Consistent Brand

Your brand is your identity online. You want your audience to recognize your brand the second they see a post or the moment they see your logo on a video.

Take some extra time to build a solid logo to represent your business, choose brand colors that look good and are visually appealing, and develop your voice - your brand’s personality.

Once you have these, you need to stay consistent with the brand guidelines that you have set.

This ties in with the last tip. This will help you stay consistent. You might think that you can create content as you go and post them at the last minute. Let me tell you that this is the best way to get burnt out.

Thinking of content ideas, creating the actual content, and optimizing them all on the same day that they are scheduled to go out is going to tire you out extremely fast, and eventually, you’ll just end up so sick of it that you just stop putting out content altogether.

Set aside time to plan out your content, conceptualize them, create them, and then bulk upload and schedule your posts throughout a set period of time.

5. Tell An Authentic Story

Earlier we talked about how your voice is your brand’s personality. Your marketing needs to reflect your personality. Tell authentic stories about your business. Talk about how your brand started, your vision, and your “why.”

Your audience is interested to get to know the people they'll be working with. Telling your story in an authentic way allows your audience to establish a human connection with your brand thus, building trust which would then lead to more business for you.

6. Add Value

The last thing your audience wants to see on social media is another ad telling them to buy a product or service without offering any value.

Put out highly engaging content that adds value to your audience. Ask yourself “how can this piece of content help them?”

The easiest way to add value is to teach.

You are the expert in your field and thus, people trust your word. You can establish yourself as an authority in your industry by creating content that educates your audience on your product and on the industry as a whole.

Create tip videos that help your audience make the best purchasing decisions, answer frequently asked questions, share best practices, create an infographic about your product, whatever it may be, the goal is to create content that your audience will find helpful.
